The Old Globe

An event venue listed by Bandsintown in San Diego.

Plan your visit

The Old Globe is in Balboa Park, San Diego, with its theatres off El Prado between the San Diego Museum of Art and the Museum of Us. Balboa Park is served by MTS routes 120 and 7 and Rapid 215, with connections to Santa Fe Depot and trolley lines. Park lots are paid daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.; rates vary by location for nonresidents, and the Globe recommends that theatre patrons arrive at least an hour before curtain to secure parking. Driving and parking can be difficult at peak times or during major events, so the venue directs visitors to check Balboa Park traffic alerts and Box Office emails for updates.^[1][2]

Do

If cycling to a performance, bike racks closest to The Old Globe are by Alcazar Garden and Plaza de Panama.^[2]

Don’t

Do not use the theatre’s street address for GPS directions; the venue says that address has only a 10-minute zone and points visitors to map coordinates or detailed directions instead.^[1]
